I had the most beautiful revelation when I was snorkeling with friends. I feel most clear-minded when I’m submerged in water because of the constant connection to my breath. This connection to my breath bridges the connection to my Spirit (God). I am able to think clearly and channel love.
I have mentioned that Earth is the school of emotions and emotions are water. Think about it when we feel sadness, anger, love, etc. we cry and release water (the emotion). We live on a planet that is mostly water and we as humans (also mostly water) are learning to navigate life through our breath. When we are in the waking day we must breathe through those tough emotions to not get stuck in them and old programs. Breath sets us free from tough emotions that keep us in old storylines. With our breath, we are renewed.
Thoughts trigger emotions
Emotions are the filter we see life through so do not let the tough emotions control you. They are coming from thoughts and thoughts can be changed. Your body is doing the natural thing it needs to do to survive: remembering an emotion that shocked your nervous system to keep you “safe”. Your body is mechanical and programmable. We can also program it the other way. We can feel an emotion (happiness, joy, love, etc) we want to feel by visualization. By being present with the emotions that arise in you, you are teaching your body it is safe.
Breathing Techniques/ Meditations
Balancing your mind and body is a constant process we will do until we die, so don’t look at it as heavy or a “have to”. We “get to” regulate our powerful tools (mind and body) to be our best selves. This is why it is essential to incorporate some breathing techniques/ meditation into your daily routine. Your breath detaches you from your thoughts and connects you to the “I am”. In this state, you are aware and get to choose how to act and what is true for you. What a blessing to have found a technique that helps you be balanced and clear-minded.
I suggest doing a 5-minute breathing exercise every day and building up from there. I also suggest checking in with my breath every time you check your phone, drink water, look at the clock, or see pink or blue (or your favorite color). This brings more awareness to your breath and brings balance between the two, working as a team. Get creative and have fun with this. The whole point of being human is to experience and connect to our breath (Spirit), we came here to have fun and life gets to be peaceful through it all.
